This summer, a stunning "luxury ship" named The Louis made waves not across the seas, but in the heart of Shanghai. Docked at the iconic Taikoo Hui on West Nanjing Road, The Louis quickly became a viral sensation — a bold blend of modern aesthetics and maritime culture. But while The Louis was turning heads in China's fashion capital, a much deeper transformation was taking place in the real world of ocean shipping: a global push toward zero-carbon maritime transport.     The Green Shipping Imperative As climate change accelerates, the international shipping industry faces mounting pressure to decarbonize. In July 2023, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the IMO Strategy on Reduction of GHG Emissions from Ships (MEPC 80), establishing a long-term goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from international shipping by 2050. By 2030, the IMO calls for at least a 20% reduction in total GHG emissions from 2008 levels, with a stretch goal of 30%.   In parallel, the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) officially expanded to include shipping from January 2024. This policy mandates full coverage of CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O emissions for intra-EU voyages, and 50% coverage for international voyages involving EU ports — increasing to 100% by 2026. By 2027, vessels over 5,000 GT (gross tonnage), which account for over 85% of global maritime emissions, will face mandatory compliance under IMO's upcoming net-zero framework. Non-compliance could result in penalties as high as USD 380 per ton of CO₂ emitted.   China's Role in the New Maritime Order China is rapidly positioning itself as a global leader in green maritime innovation. In July 2025, Yangkpu Port in Hainan marked a national milestone: the country's first methanol-powered container vessel, built in China, fueled in China, and operating from a Chinese port — completing the nation's first "green shipping loop." As the shutter clicked, everyone struck the coolest poses for group photos. Their confident smiles indicate that SIGAS GROUP is bound to achieve extraordinary results in 2025! Reviewing the Glorious 2024 and Looking Ahead to the Progressive 2025   In January 2025, the SIGAS team gathered in Moganshan to jointly celebrate the successful achievement of our 2024 goals and embark on the vision and challenges of 2025!     Looking back at 2024, every member of our team went all out. With professional capabilities and tenacious perseverance, we overcame one difficulty after another. When we finally achieved our goals, a surge of joy and pride welled up in our hearts. This was not only the result of individual efforts but also a victory of teamwork. From R & D innovation to market expansion, from customer service to internal management, all departments collaborated closely, like a precisely operating engine, jointly propelling SIGAS forward steadily.     This annual meeting in Moganshan is the best testament to our team cohesion. During the team - building activities, we participated in fun games such as the Power Circle Rope, "Nine - person Ten - feet", and "Cooperative Dribbling" in groups. In the Power Circle Rope project, when Leo, the sales director, stepped onto the rope, everyone immediately entered a highly intense collaborative state, working together to help him complete the challenge. In the group games, even if a group accidentally fell, they quickly got up and continued to rush towards the finish line. The scene was filled with laughter and cheers, and the entire Moganshan echoed with our joy. These games were not only full of fun but also made us deeply understand the power of teamwork. We got closer to each other, and our team cohesion was greatly enhanced.     The grand annual meeting ceremony pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Sissi, the group president of SIGAS, took the stage to deliver a speech, affirming the outstanding performance of the team in 2024 and putting forward expectations for the development in 2025. When the "Department Star" award - winners went on stage to receive their awards, the warm applause and cheers from the audience demonstrated our recognition of outstanding colleagues and inspired everyone to learn from them. The lucky - draw session set the whole place on fire, and everyone shared this happy moment amidst laughter and joy.     During the tour of Moganshan on the second day, we admired the beautiful scenery of the Sword Pool, visited historical sites, and walked through the dense bamboo forest. The integration of history and nature not only relaxed our bodies and minds but also enabled us to draw new strength.   Looking ahead to 2025, we are full of anticipation and also aware of numerous challenges. However, we are not afraid at all because we possess strong team cohesion and excellent teamwork spirit. We will move forward hand in hand, strive hard, and sprint towards the goal of "being the Number One in the segmented field"!  Let's continue to write the glorious chapter of SIGAS with our sweat and wisdom!

  The 17th International Forum for China On-line Analytical Instrument Application and Development Expo concluded successfully on November 6, 2024! This is a professional event with the theme of "efficiency, high quality, low consumption, safety, and environmental protection", which brings together nearly 100 high-level academic reports and more than 170 well-known domestic and foreign companies.     As a leader in the industry, SIGAS participation in this exhibition has attracted even more attention! The SIGAS booth was extremely popular, with an endless stream of customers and industry experts coming to consult and learn about the products.     SIGAS carries a number of star products—gas sensors, gas analyzers, and gas online monitoring systems. From September 11th to 13th, smartGAS presented its sensing and measuring products and solutions at the Sensor China Expo & Conference 2024.   As a premier event in the global sensor industry, Sensor China serves as a key platform for intelligent sensing systems and solutions. The 2024 exhibition highlighted cutting-edge technologies, the latest applications, and industry trends, showcasing high standards and specialization.       The smartGAS booth attracted significant attention from professionals in the sensor industry, who engaged in detailed discussions about our leading products and solutions, including NDIR gas sensors and analyzers, etc. Our expert team actively participated in in-depth dialogues with industry colleagues and potential customers, exploring future industry trends and identifying new cooperation opportunities.   On the afternoon of September 12th, Andreas Hester, General Manager of smartGAS China, was invited to speak at the Gas Sensing Technology and Application Forum.   In his address on the future development trends of the sensor industry, he noted, "Given the international competition and industrial development, the demand for sensors will continue to grow.
